Centre Case or Gear Box
A lockmaster gearbox, also known as a “centre case“, is the heart of the multipoint door lock and contains the most moving parts. As a result, this is the most frequent portion of the multipoint lock to fail. Thankfully, it is also one of the easiest pieces of the multipoint door lock to replace. If you want to replace your lockmaster central case, you must first identify whether it has a hook or a deadbolt at the centre.
Second, check to see if the door handles on the inside and outside of your door are the same type. If the outer handle is different, you’re probably seeking to replace a “Dual spindle” gearbox!
Finally, we need to know the depth of the lock. This is typically 35 or 45mm and may be determined by measuring from the centre of the spindle to the front of the lock.
Shoot Bolts & Door Latch Parts
Shoot bolts are essential door hardware parts that enhance your security. We provide shootbolts in a variety of finishes, allowing you to select the product that best meets your security needs. Our shootbolts are designed to provide extra strength and reliability and can be adjusted to match your door if you decide to replace a part instead of the entire unit.
Latches are the parts of the multipoint lock that hold your door in place when you first close it. This is by far the most used part of the lock. Because they are continuously involved in and out of your door, latches must be really robust. If your latch becomes broken and you need to replace it, we have you covered. Our door latches come in a variety of forms and can be used for a wide range of door types such as uPVC, composite, timber, and internal doors.
Replacement Keeps
The locking portion of a lock fits into a door keep, a steel component that is fastened to the door frame. It keeps the door firmly closed, preventing trespassers from entering your property. Because keeps wear out quicker than the other parts of the lock owing to friction, they are also the most commonly replaced ones.
Lockmaster offers replacement parts for some of the keeps’ individual pieces. Whether you are looking for a latch keep replacement, or a roller keep replacement, you’re in safe hands with us.
If you feel that your entire keep needs to be replaced, we have a wide range of full-length keeps as well as 3-piece keeps. If you are unsure about which Lockmaster door mechanism matches your door hardware, please contact our excellent team who will gladly assist you.
